Sad to see them go, I somehow doubt its replacement will give half the years of service. Will these units find work on other lines?

Thanks Atlantarail for your comment. I do not think the new locomotives will have the reliability that had these locomotives. And for the ALCos, it´s future is still uncertain. It is possible (and I hope so) that they will be transferred to the freight rail.
