I wonder what's up with that primer-colored patch right in front of the air intake.

I looked at the other shots I took of this earlier including a daylight shot and it appears to be moisture that has frozen on the cover.

I don't think it's frozen moisture, http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=449763 shows it in fall with the same patch.
