I've worked a Track Renewal Train before on NJ Transit. It's impressive how efficiently the machine works. With no obstructions like switches or crossings they can easily do about 5 miles of new track a day.

That is an interesting image. Not only is it graphically pleasing, but there is all kinds of interesting detail.
