I knew it as a winner from the thumb. This says high, lonely, narrow gauge montiain railroading better then 90% of all other NG shots. Excellent idea John. PCA from me.

I agree that the low angle of light combined with rails curving around emphasize the plateau feel. It's a favorite for me! Incidentally, the cut-off of the loop allows snow plows to be turned, with snow, something that this view of Lava seems incongruous with the location.. Lava has always felt very high and lonesome and Mr. West, you seem to have nailed it very well!
