Nice menagerie. For a few years the big MLW LRCs ran as part of the VIA/AMTRAK power pool supporting the "International" between Chicago and Toronto. Sleek and unfortunately a little buslike, the big MLWs were ALL Alco however as far as the show they put on. Classic trademark whistling, hammering chug on acceleration ,under columns of smoke. Great stuff. Alas, by 1995 they were replaced by VIA F40PHs as the shop crews at 18th Street were not exactly thrilled by the complexities of the LRC electronics-or, the MLW V16251E either. Good show while it lasted; glad to see one preserved!
