This is my home town! that caboose came from the old West Shore RR in Lewisburg that used to run excursions in the early 80's to mid 90's!

Do you know the history behind why it has the odd cupola bay window set up?

yes it was added by the west shore for cosmetic purposes only so people would think it looks more like a caboose since most associate cabooses with cupola's. this caboose originally had a baywindow. I am unsure of its origin however

Recently told by a friend, This started life as a Sante Fe caboose. for future reference my source of this information was from Jeff Pontious of Penn Valley Productions in Northumberland.
