Another great photo, and memory, James! Its a shame that this wonderful old engine as well as others were sold and moved out of state! Of course unfortunately, the state operated HVRR can't afford to finish restoration and re-certification work on the two that they currently do have. I'm thinking its going on 10 years since #75,s last run. Last I saw her she was still in torn down in the locomotive shed/shops. Her boiler was on its side and they were working on the firebox. #618 has recently gone in for boiler work after last steaming in 2010. I'm sure you know the particulars better than I do. Man it sure would be nice to have steam in Utah again!

In 1975 the Wasatch Mountain Railway had three operational steam engines. The 35 and 618 were joined by No. 4, a 3 truck Shay used on the evening dinner trains along Deer Creek Reservoir.
