Nothing staged here - an authentic day-in-the-life scene (a day before the charter) in historic Virginia City, NV. Nicely captured!

A grand view of a fabled place. Many thanks.

Kevin, I am curious about the equipment up the hill closer to the church. There appear to be a bright yellow coach, a caboose/coach(?) and a few other railroad coaches and equipment up the hill above the steam train. Also, is Tunnel #6 - "The E-Street Tunnel" accessible and able to be photographed? It appears that part of the tunnel façade is visible just above/and to the right of the maroon coach/caboose roof and what looks like a yellow box truck at the base of a tree - and the church itself. I would hope someone on RP.net would have a photo of this tunnel that is "buried" under the front of the church. How long was the tunnel and did it pass directly under the church or just under the front of it? Awesome photograph by the way, love the perspective the church gives and adds to the depth and visual aspect of the location.

Nice shot. I have wanted to visit since the '50's. No trains then but trains now. All the more reason to go! So where is Lucius Beebe's and Charles Clegg's place? :-)
