I saw the plane and thought this was in the 1980's until I saw the date. Did not know US Airway's did "heritage planes" Very cool.

Does anyone else remember the time period when N&W had a controlling interest in Piedmont ? There were a good many jokes about "flying the coal down to Norfolk."

Sure HOPE they have also done an "Allegheny" and a "Mohawk" jet too.

There's an Allegheny and Pacific Southwest one. About a year ago, I was passing Washington National on the Metro and right after we popped above ground, I looked over and saw the Allegheny and Piedmont side by side. There were no other airliners tied up next to them with modern logos and for a moment I thought "what year is this?"

With a Livery retro of U.S. Airways A319!

Crazy how time flies! Not a single aircraft bearing US Airways Titles remain. Talk about a trip back in time! All Heritage A319's were transferred to American Airlines now bearing the AA Titles on the fuselage.
