A lot of interesting information. However, I couldn't help but wonder about the leaves still on the trees in December in Michigan.

I remember stumbling upon this abandoned yard in the autumn of 1993. My then fiancée, now wife, was interviewing with a Frankfort pie company across the way. I was on a day off from the GP plant in Gaylord. So while I waited for her, I explored the area. I had no idea of some of the things still in the yard.. the ferry, a string of old rail cars...the intact feeder rail to the yard... it was a like a ghost town suddenly abandoned. I wish I would have had my camera with me :(
