Nicely captured, Brian! The old WM viaduct certainly takes center stage.

Like the mail saying, the mail must go through the freight must go through. Great winter shot.

Great composition and scene, but I'm wondering, why is all the snow dark and gray?

The Salisbury Viaduct is part of the Allegheny Passage "rails to trails" that runs from Pittsburgh, PA to Washington, DC. I have spent considerable time over the years hiking that beautiful trail and highly recommend it to all. The railway was originally the B&O RR line from Pittsburgh to Washington, DC. There's so much history to discover all along that trail. Look up Allegheny Passage and check it out. In fact, check out all the "rails to trails" nationwide.

Jim Thias - This image appears to be done in HDR That would explain the grayish tone to the snow. Here's a link to explain HDR imagery. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-dynamic-range_imaging
