When I first came here in the early 1980s there was a substantial wooden structure between the tracks, just behind the photographer which served as a combination "Operators Cabin" & section house.

Unfortunately, that building burnt down in the 1990's. It's adjacent shed was located until very recently where the pole with yellow caution tape is sticking out from the snow in the foreground which has opened up this shot.
