"Extreme Makeover: Sante Fe Edition!" So Amtrak couldn't park their train in the garage? How 'mean' of the Sante Fe to not allow for them to park in the garage. Someone needs to remind the house movers about the quote: "For every year you live in California, you lose three points off your I.Q." - Truman Capote, writer. What a mess! Someone call "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" now!

What's that old song they used to play on the Captain Kangaroo children's TV program? "There's a railroad comes through the middle of the house (through the house, through the house, through the middle of the house)..." Note how even the men in the lower right of the photograph are smiling.

I had seen photos of this before, and, like the gentlemen in the lower right, found it very amusing. Of all the things that they cover in Locomotive Engineers School, I guess that a house on a grade crossing probably was left out? I can only imagine the disbelief that the engineer and fireman had as they came around that curve!! HA!

How often have we laughed at the supposed comments from vehicle drivers' insurance claims forms "the tree/telegraph pole/lamp post jumped out in front of me". I would like to know what was made of the claim by the engineer "The house jumped out in front of me!"
