They might jack up some of those ties while they're at it, and maybe it won't happen again. Not that I'm being critical; I've certainly seen worse track here in the US. But there are some pretty big kinks in that rail, there.

@Shooshie, I suspect that track isn't as bad as it looks, remember that the this image (looks as if it) has been subjected to the foreshortening effects of a telephoto lens, looking at the position of the locomotive and what is 'off the road' this incident started when the leading truck split the switch blades, the train never reached the track you mention.
