Ironically, some of those Southern GE's actually outlived some of the chip hoppers in this photo - CSX has been "cutting" down chip hoppers and making coke cars out of them. Another amazing photo, David!

The clouds more than likely helped with the lighting in the photo as Camak was always at an angle to the sun that made side shots tough. Glad you had the opportunity to meet Mr. Beckum. I was fortunate to have grown up with our backyards virtually touching. Spent many a nice evening visiting with him and Mrs. Beckum. Hard to believe he has been gone 23 years.
