My favorite section of KiwiRail! This line connects Christchurch with the rail ferry at Picton passing through over 20 tunnels along the Kaikoura coast. The route of Coastal Pacific (which is hopefully making a great comeback with a brand new train again after the Christchurch earthquakes.)
