This one really brings back some memories of my early yard clerk days at Acca Yard in Richmond. If my memory serves me correctly, No. 188 ran on as as needed basis. It could have anywhere from 5 to 155 cars. As in this case, even two sections. I usually had to be heavily switched at Acca. Oh, and you seldom had a decent computer consist to work from. It didn't take a clerk long to learn that when No. 188 showed up, it was best have pen and paper ready. Great image.
