Another interesting photo of this line shame its out of use, nicely composed I bet you would hardly be able to see the wagons when the trees are in full leaf, during the summer.

Thanks David! Though I must admit - I like it just as it is! It is probably more "in use" preserving an historical moment in time then it could ever be as a 21st century functioning narrow gauge line in Pennsylvania. Fortunately, as of June 3rd 2013, a group known as the East Broad Top Preservation Association has purchased the northern part of the East Broad Top Railroad. In two separate transactions they purchased, the old PRR/Conrail spur from the NS mainline to the northern end of the EBT yard from Kovlachick Salvage, and the EBT Mount Union yard from the Conrail Spur tie-in to the US 522 crossing from the East Broad Top Railroad and Coal Company. The only thing at risk now are the freight cars themselves. If they could be stabilized as is, I believe the state and even the country itself would have itself a valuable asset for visually explaining what the EBT was, is, and how it contributed towards Mt Union's character and history, as well as the county's itself.

The FEBT has marked everything that want...including this boxcar, if I am correct. Plus Salone just purchased the second portion (3/20/14) of the yard, to the Aughick concrete bridge.
