Classic shot, Kevin. Same does indeed fit the part. Looks like something John West could've taken - well before the digital era. Great job, Kevin!

Did you remembered to take a bar of soap & a towel?

These period recreation type photos never, ever, ever, ever look right. But this one absolutely does. And the fact that the subject is actually working and not an "actor" that looks just as stuffed and mounted as a steam locomotive sitting behind a park fence makes it all that much better. Great photo along with a great backstory.

ZZ Top come back tour ! Really nice shot, very good background information. Seems to be a narrow gauge railway. I'll have to try and get to one sometime, and some of the other standard gauge heritage, railways that we have here. We could do with decent public transport like to the heritage railways. Very interesting angle for the photo.

Excellent human interest shot and story Kevin. Reminds me of the characters in the old '70s movie about hobos...I'm having a senior moment can't remember the title.

@ Mark; Emperor of the North - an excellent movie which took place in Oregon with Lee Marvin, Ernest Borgnine, Keith Carradine, Charles Tyner. A classic!

Love the human element here. Excellent work!

Awesome!

Kevin, I commend you for working the human element into this shot. Sam is indeed perfect casting, and being a tried and true working member of the crew and doing actual work lends the air of verisimilitude that other shots lack. Great casting, scenery, and angle. Well done.

Kevin, be still my heart. Incredible.
