Wow, that scene sure has changed. I recently grabbed a shot here from the pathway on the right, next to one of those codeline poles. Quite the scene here!

Amazing to think that the equipment and spanking-new locomotives are long gone and the semaphores survive! Actually, the semaphores convey no protection on the siding at Chapelle, and exist solely to provide rear-end protection on following mainline movements.
