Sad that I never got a chance to see this locomotive in this paint scheme. I wish they would have kept it painted this way a little longer than they did, maybe as long as the winter Olympic locomotives....14 years later. Happy veterans day!

This is the first time I've seen a picture of this Vet's Tribute locomotive...what would it hurt to have kept it until she was absolutely worn out. Never hurts to remind us of what we owe those brave souls who serve for us. Thank you for sharing your picture Dave.

I had the chance to run this unit from Dequincy to Avondale,la then it went on to N S railroad, we had A short set out at Addis for a newspaper crew.
