Nice catch, Dave. Like many, I'd sure like to know the point of owing something so rare yet sharing with so few - if any one at all. Locked in a building for decades likely so dark even the mice haven't seen it for some time.

Maybe, just maybe the E&LS is planning a "Shark Attack" someday on some line somewhere. I do agree theses should both be on display for others to view them considering how rare these two unit are. Great Timing Dave!

The reason this and the other shark are kept in the dark, hidden from everyone, is due to railfans not being nice. If I owned something that was rare and valuable and people came on my property and stole things, I would lock everything up too. It is his and he can do whatever he wants with it, we do not get to decide what someone else should do with their stuff.

This might very well be the last photo of it in daylight. They have been stored indoors primarily since 1981.
