"Creek River??" That bridge formerly carried the two main tracks leaving DUT at the south end, carrying all BN and DRGW coal and frt. trains to and from Pueblo. Why don't you tell 'em, Buffie, that the City of Denver forbid any of those redundant, useless bridges being torn down for stupid "artistic purposes." Hence now, bridges leading to high-dollar Condo-ville. Do any of those residents know or care about the history?

Thanks Heaven's someone had the foresight to preserve a link to the city's past. Love it! I'm sure it's chic to have such old structures integrated into the fabric of the modern buildings and all the better as the city's history would be all but forgotten.

Your right Steve! (got crossed up with the South Platte River). When I moved to Denver the entire LODO area was still rail yards and the Colorado and Southern roundhouse stood where the roller-coaster now sits for Six Flags/Elitches. The old Moffat depot building is still there, but probably not for long by how run down it looks.

We have an old railway swing bridge over the River Hull,(oddly enough in Hull, England) that has been out of use from the late 1960's and is now part of a footpath and cycle route. I may put a photo of it on this site. (I'll have to do some digging first! as it will be on my other computer). Nice picture, it makes an interesting contrast between the old and the New ! Nice one Buffie. :-)
