Very nice lighting. This must be the Alliance deadline.

The "green weenies" live!

Cool shot! When I visited in August, I had seen two other C30-7's there as well, they were sitting south of these, one was in BN paint the same as there, the other still in ATSF paint and was hooked up to one of the shop buildings there in Alliance.

Sad ending . I had the rear C30-7 on my last pool run before going to Metra . Thanks for the memories . Al BNSF engr .

Alliance has Car-henge, why not Loco-henge?

Enviable composition and lighting. A nice tribute to these noble workhorses.

These do not appear to be in a regular deadline. We saw another in the yard but could not get to it. I believe it is 5208.

Caught a similar unit, brand new, lashed up with a factory fresh C&S SD40-2 on a business train in Coon Rapids Mn circa 1980? Solid green/white train 15+ cars. Beaut! the lokies are old now; I'm older!

Fantastic lighting. I love the way the green locomotive contrasts with the purple background. Excellent picture Philip.

Just about anyone can come and take a photo of these two locomotives, they've been there 4 years with no plans to move them. Might be scrapped or for sale, not sure. They were sitting in Seattle with a bunch of bird poop then came to Alliance to be cleaned up by CMR in 2009.
