I always enjoy most those rail photos that provide a good sense of the environment in which the railroad lives and operates. Having lived in this part of the country for a while, I can appreciate the fact that while some parts of West Virginia are very beautiful, other parts seem to be a long way from being "almost Heaven." The drizzly grayness adds even more to the "sense of place."

I love seeing railroads in these small towns nestled in the woods. They're are some undiscovered treasures that lie in these small towns and villages. Excellent shot!
