I would say luck was on your side with the 2 hour delay as I can't image better light than this! Just beautiful!

A PC choice from me. Awesome shot, Kevin. As for the lighting - I doubt you could've asked for better conditions - the darker foreground works well in highlighting the Leviathan against the dark sky. The Sun Gods favored you in allowing light just where you needed it.

Ditto what Mitch said about the PC Nomination, and I don't do those very often.

Tried twice to get this shot, she wasn't present either times. Glad somebody got it!

Kevin, I am adding my two cents in here along with the others. You have a beautiful shot and as far as anyone now knows it is a once in a lifetime shot. This photo is going into my collection for future use as my desk top backround. PCA vote from me also.

Nicely composed! Does anyone know how they coupled the tender to the passenger car? When I saw Leviathon in Owosso, MI during Trainfest 2009, the Leviathon's tender had a link pin coupler- just wondering how they managed to couple the tender to a knuckle coupler passenger car.

Great capture, Kevin! I like how you framed the 1885-vintage Hadley Bow Bridge in the scene, too.

Kevin, I think the combination of light and shadow meld nicely to form a superb photo. Thanks for waiting.
