The story goes that this engine was a great little excursion locomotive and was condemned by the FRA because there were no blueprints. They apparently were destroyed in a Toronto commuter roundhouse fire in before it was retired. If anyone has a copy I bet Steamtown would love to have them.

CN had 5 4-6-4 t's (46-50) that were designed and used in commuter service in the Montreal area. In the late steam era CN moved one of them to London Ont. for service between London and Windsor until retirement.

A disgrace! BTW It wasn't blueprints (there are still available) it was the BTC (Federal) boiler exam papers/record. It and one of the G5's operated under State boiler certificate and then when GMR was created it became Federal jurisdiction. Because the G5 operated under State the ICC would not recognize it and Blount refused to waste money retubing a perfectly good boiler.
