I wonder if this crane still exists. Probably not since it appears to be a diesel even though it is of 1946 vintage. I would think the steam powered ones would be more appealing for exhibit purposes. Having worked around modern industrial mobile cranes, the 250-ton capacity didn’t seem to me to be that big of a rating. Paul, this crane was the newest and largest on the Santa Fe at 250 tons. All other Santa Fe wrecking derricks ranged from 200 tons down to 100 tons.
