I have a photo of this unit subsequently on Conrail in Selkirk NY enroute to Naporano Iron & Metal scrapyard in Newark NJ.

David - these look like the passenger mains (what I knew them to be called) that were crossed on the road leading down to the entrance of East Thomas Yard. If I am correct, this was a very odd place for them to park this unit!

I had always wondered if NIMX was Naporano, but it seemed an odd routing that would put the unit through B'ham.
