Nice train and photo Beppe,do you know why the rails are painted white colour ?or is the matterial of the metal?

The tracks are painted in white on the sides of the rail mainly to decrease the expansion caused by heat, the white paint is a mixture of lime and glue with a small percentage of herbicide, this operation is done once a year before the summer.
