Don't know what's stranger...the lashup or just Amtrak in the weeds. My wonderful grandfather worked seasonally on the IHB. He farmed at Jewett, IL (a town on the old Pennsylvania RR St. Louis line, the latter now part of CSX), and when he needed to earn additional money for a major farm equipment purchase would move the family temporarily north to the Indiana Chicago suburbs where some of his siblings lived, and he'd toil for the "Harbor".
