Christian, on occasion when the CN Bala Sub is undergoing maintenance they do run southbound over this bridge. There are also times when the train will have a rear-end DPU, which makes for an almost identical picture. There are examples of both here on the database. As for those type of shots being "so much better" that's a matter of opinion which I do not particularly share. While they are less common, and attractive in their own way, unfortunately the river itself is blocked by the foliage from that point of view, thereby losing as much in scenic value as what is gained by the high vantage point. So while I agree they are just as nice in their own way, I wouldn't go so far as to label them "so much better". ~Wayne

I meant that photos from the fire tower are so much better with southbounds than those with northbounds. I definitely didn't mean to say that fire tower photos were better than yours here.
