It's one thing to see the overhead shots of the place, but when you look at photos from street level? It's a lot harder to take if you ask me.

For some reason when I see tankers I frequently think of cows. (Perhaps its because dairy cows dispense liquid from, er, a large container, just as tankers do.) And this photo to me is akin to a herd of dead cows from an unnatural death. That being said, the material loss of the rolling stock is far less significant than the absolutely horrific human toll of this accident. Prayers for the people of Lac-Mégantic.

Surreal and tragic to see this in a neighborhood of well kept homes. No excuse for it.
