I'm surprised they are still using an electric loco for this train. I wonder why they are not assigning a diesel hydraulic to it. Is it because of the area?/Ma mir ca si acum folosesc o locomotiva electrica la trenul asta. Oare de ce nu folosesc un LDH? Zona necesita o electrica?

Suceava - Ilva Mică it`s an electrified line, in the past this train was hauled by an ex-SNCF Z6100 or Z6300 EMU. These EMU`s had some problems and they are all retired and waiting (for how long, I don`t know...) for repairs. It is not recommended to use a LDH under electric wires because it is not... ecological. In Europe, freight operators pay high taxes by using diesel traction under electrified line.
However, this electric Rade Koncar Bo-Bo is consuming low energy for 40-50 tonnes traction effort. The perfect service here it is an EMU. It was and it will be again!
