Yes Kevin, Dick has fearsome eye protection for today's run. Ya know these coal burners after all, ya never now when some chuck of coal will come into your eyeball. CN No. 3254, like it's stablemate CPR No. 2317, or MILW No 261 or SP No 4449 all have enclosed all weather cabs. But having been in all of them, I would say No. 3254 seems the darkest! So you have to have some light in there. I also liked the dark rather than light outside the window/door.
