David, the conductor on the Talladega local shown in your photo is B. J. Hardy. His home is directly across the road from the old NAS signal location at north Lineville (across from the feedmill location) and he worked the Lineville Switcher for years and years. One of the hardest working men to ever step foot on the Lineville Subdivision. One day, he knew he was being watched by a hidden trainmaster in Talladega, and he finally had enough. He keyed up his radio and broadcast "go ahead and write us up and say what you need to say - we got lots of work to do and we ain't got time for this today" !!
