Great night photo but Location Designation is Incorrect. This photo could not have been made in Gore, WV. The Wichester & Western RR does not run anywhere near Gore, WV. It operates out of Gore, Virginia. The Wichester & Western yard & shops are located in Gore,Virginia-about 12.5 miles from downtown Winchester, VA. The photo was likely taken at the Gore, VA yard because "the daily run" is made from the quarry at Gore, VA. The WW RR operates from Gore to Winchester, VA where it interchanges with the CSX. Then the WW heads north to Hagerstown, MD on the old Pennsy "Winchester Secondary" where it connects with the NS RR. On its way to Hagerstown it makes another connection with the CSX at Martinsburg, WV. In 2019 the Winchester & Western was purchased by OmniTrak Corp. I live near Winchester and the WW is one of my favorite shortlines. For the time being it appears the equipment will retain the Winchester & Western name. Lets hope so. My comments should not take away from the enjoyment of the night photo by Ryan Lewis. Thanks Ryan.
