The DW&P Alco RS-11s, while built in the United States at Schnectady, NY, have a fuel tank/air tank layout common to Canadian Montreal Locomotive Works RS10/16s, and even include Canadian-designed Dofasco trucks. Also, but not visible in this photo, the dynamic brakes are located in the short hood, and not over the prime mover, which was yet another Canadian practice.
