No I had no particular problems taking pictures in the station. Only when I was trying to take a photo of a (very nice) lady at the Frecciarossa desk (with the train in the background), two guys from the railway police came to see me and told me that I am allowed to take pictures only of the trains but not from the people working for the railway. I gently complied to this request, and everything went well.
