Wood? From what trees? I would be worried if I was one of those threes in the background. And what decrepit equipment. I am amazed that loco can move at all let alone pul that big a train. And what track. This is the kind of track where things derail standing still. Nice shot Chris.

The few trees in the picture being scared; thats funny! Yes, not much firewood in the Pampas, hence the auxillary fuel tender. The track is as poor as it looks and the reason the 200 some km took 14 hrs--no derailments though! Wood buring steam for switching/reserve on the privatized protion of this line lasted until a just a few years ago!
