Is this freight coming in from the (Pacific) port of Lazaro Cardenas, which was something former KCS CEO Mike Haverty wanted to see developed?

Sort of... there is an service offering between Lazaro Cardenas and the Southeast, however as far as I know that is all imported ISO containers (20, 40, 45') and I've never seen them in the Mexico block. However there are multiple origins in the interior of Mexico that generate quite a bit of traffic- 30-60 domestic 53' containers/day, 5 days per week. Interpuerto, SL (San Luis Potosi, SL); Pantaco, DF; Puerta México, EM (Toluca, EM); Queretaro, QA; Salinas Victoria, NL (Monterrey, NL); Laredo, TX. This service is one of the reasons KCS's intermodal is growing ~20% per year.
