Nice shot. It captures the essence of the C&O/Chessie; but I think the date would be after 1983 because the SD50's weren't delivered until 1984.

The station name there is actually Alleghany with an "a" following the "gh." That is the old traditional Virginia method of the spelling, and the location retains that spelling today.
