Those units look elephant style, are they part of the barstow power pool ?

They are coming from Barstow, so they probably are. We see alot of the same units between Los Angeles and Barstow, and Barstow to Winslow.

Thank you for the info, as a BNSF locomotive engineer on the california division for 15 years, I have never heard anyone mention anything about the barstow power pool.

No such thing as the Barstow power pool..this is a Z train to WSP and the power runs right through the yard. Only "pool" is the locals and Barstow west trains that get the 7700's.
