An N&W class 'A' locomotive on home rails in 1987...it doesn't get any better than this! Well I guess she could have a string of coal cars tied behind her instead of passenger cars, but passenger cars will do!

Chris, your photo captures the power and majesty of 1218! It is especially pleasing to see the giant locomotive pounding up Blue Ridge Grade and the sand flying off the rails.
