An only UP/Alco design, dual stacks are so much better for exhaust output, this engine by far is the most technologically advanced U.S steam locomotive currently in operation.

What is the advantage of dual stacks? Each cylinder's exhaust is targeted at a different stack I take it. Does this have an advantage in creating draft? Does combining the exhaust from both cylinders in other steam locomotives have negative effects somehow? I'm curious to know.
