Insane horn location on the #9403! Crew must really love that.

...and if that's not bad enough, check out the placement on the one to the right: above the engineer's window!

That looks like about a 25-lb. rail!

Can see insulators where there used to be overhead for electrics.

I believe I see a new EMD in the shed! A crew would likely feel as though they had won the locomotive lottery if they were fortunate enough to be at her controls.

Interesting juxtaposition...I think the sign at left reads "Culture Station" (next to all the rough-and-tumble action of real Brazilian railroading). I also like the ALL van at the right side of the frame. LucasMR, also looks like you captured a "tanqueiro" at the center of this image? Is that sugar ethanol hauled in that train or other petrochemical products? Great pic, as usual!

One other question, LucasMR. Looking at my Brazil map, it looks like São Carlos is very close to being due south of the entry point of the new North-South railroad into São Paulo state. If so, knowing this city is above São Paulo and its lower ports, this railroad looks like it's going to get a LOT of traffic. It would almost be like having "the" transcontinental railroad between the ports of New Jersey and Los Angeles going right through the tight squeeze where this tank car train is now. Or will traffic to the ports of SP from the north go a different route?

Yes Kurt, the tanker train was hauling ethanol, from the city of Paulinia, to Mato Grosso state.
