When I worked for Southern Railway in 1980, this was my favorite job. We went to work in Anderson as 8 a.m. and would be relieved by the next crew at 4 p.m. since the needed the locomotive we were using. The conductor at the time I worked here was and original from when this was called the Carolina and North Western. He was a pleasure to work with.
