'Goldman strikes gold with this photo!' The golden sun rise is an excellent back drop for the photo genic steamer!

You nailed this one Mitch! Sunrise/sunset shots and trains give the potential for great results and this one is a sure winner with such great colors and mood.

I love gold and a golden sunrise with a puffer in it is more than can be asked for. Mitch, this is a great shot. The beauty of this shot is superlative. PCA from me.

All those bridge pics were just a setup for this one, weren't they Mitch? ;-) I just reflexively hit the "Nominate for People's Choice" button when I saw this one... Great job!

There are not many places in the US where you can watch the sun rise over a steam locomotive about ready to go to work on a real freight. Kudos to the Strasburg Railroad for doing this, and kudos to Mitch for getting up at O-Dark-Thirty to show us the majesty of it all. Wish I could have been there.

Mitch, I see the screener accidentally forgot to click on the Screener's Choice icon when accepting this. Awesome shot, man!

Could almost be a painting by the late Thomas Kincade.

Just spectacular. So spectacular that I'd think it was the product of heavy digital darkroom work if I didn't know you'd taken so many really great shots. Almost surreal. Amazing use of light and the black smoke. And catching the cylinder cocks open is such a great touch.

Mitch, congrats on getting the Number 1 PCA this week! Oh that's right, you had the Number 1 PCA last week too. You're on a quite a roll!

Very well done, Mitch! You continue to find new and exciting ways to share Strasburg with us. Well deserved PCA.

What part of the railroad was this taken at? Was this the main station? I am going up in June for my Bday and want to make the most of my time and get some nice photos. Any tips? Stunning BTW. Thanks!
