This was recorded just prior to the mail trucks on the left not being needed anymore as USPS canceled RPO service contracts Sept. 1967, driving a stake through the Banner Blue and other passenger trains operated by private railroads. A nice look back at a different time.

Yes, 3812 is ex-WAB 1012. The only E8s N&W had were from the Wabash.

N&W leased E8s from the ACL which were re-lettered, but that was a decade or so prior to this.
