Never got up to Green Bay to see this. Many don't know CNW had the only intercity gallery cars. A diner with a shroud. Didn't know that. Bill, thanks for posting.

Any idea which train this was? Flambeau 400 perhaps? Perhaps a little too long for that in '69 though.

The 'F' units being my favorite locomotive caught my eye. A nice addition to my picture collection. Thank you for sharing your picture Mr. Edgar.

By January 1970 Official Guide, CNW was operating 4 trains from Green Bay to Chicago. Not all were daily, and this train was taken in the afternoon which makes it most likely to be train 216 which left Green Bay at 440pm connecting from the former "Flambeau 400" from Ashland, WI and either a bus or train from Ishpeming, MI depending on the day. Note the Also S2 behind the train. It would have added the dining car, 4th car back, and perhaps the rear coach at Green Bay. Train 216 operated via Oshkosh/Fond du Lac as opposed to Manitowoc.
